Our Mission

Alkebulan is an association committed to supporting, representing and empowering people of African descent in Switzerland. Through projects, educational work and awareness-raising, we promote a sense of community and exchange. Our focus is on promoting community development and combating anti-black racism, while representing African culture in its diversity and depth.

«healthy roots, healthy tree»

- This motto describes our commitment to creating a strong foundation for the African community. We believe that sustainable success is only possible when we focus on deep-rooted identity and cultural awareness. Our work promotes community empowerment and growth by addressing the needs and challenges of people of African descent.

Our Activities

We organize events, workshops, cultural projects and educational initiatives that bring people together, inspire and showcase African culture in all its depth and diversity. Our goal is to create a space that not only honors African history and present, but also shapes the future of our community.

Together for a change

As an association for people of African descent in Switzerland, we focus on networking, cooperation and cultural exchange. We not only offer a platform for engaging with African culture, but also promote cooperation with other organizations and institutions in order to create a respectful and diverse society.

Our Statutes

The foundation of our work is built upon a clear and transparent set of statutes that ensure our goals and principles are consistently pursued. Our statutes define the structure, roles, and responsibilities within the organization and serve as a guideline for all our activities.
They reflect our commitment to promoting a respectful and just society.
